Early Signal Diagnostics to Launch 10,000-Patient Validation Study of AI Cancer Biomarkers in Bogotá, Colombia

A 2 laboratory, 10,000 patient validation study of AI Pancreatic and Ovarian cancers in Bogota Colombia

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Early Signal Diagnostics Corp today announced that it will begin validation studies of its AI-driven biomarker platform in early 2027 at two laboratories in Bogotá, Colombia. The study will enroll approximately 10,000 local patients and will evaluate the platform’s ability to detect ovarian and pancreatic cancer from a capillary blood sample.

Early Signal Diagnostics believes AI biomarkers should be validated with the same rigor as companion diagnostics. Conducting the study in a Latin American population also tests whether the platform performs across diverse patient groups, a common gap in AI biomarker research.

The Early Signal Diagnostics platform applies single-cell RNA sequencing analysis and machine learning to cancer biomarker discovery. In recent work, the company’s analysis identified a novel set of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes not previously recognized in pancreatic and ovarian cancer, findings that may point to actionable targets for therapeutic intervention.

“After more than seven years working alongside physicians, laboratories and health officials in Bogotá, I’ve seen how much the local medical community cares about earlier cancer detection,” said Todd Wright, VP of International Operations at Early Signal Diagnostics Corp. “We’re proud to validate our platform with them, in the population it’s meant to serve, and to hold it to the highest standard.”

The participating laboratories will be announced once agreements are finalized. Preliminary results are expected approximately nine months after the validation studies begin.
