DONALDSON’S FINER CHOCOLATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
(October 10, 2026) - Donaldson’s Finer Chocolates, a second-generation family business, will be celebrating “Sixty Years of Sweetness” at the chocolate shop in Lebanon, Indiana on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The celebration at Donaldson’s Finer Chocolates, located at 600 S. State Road 39, at the intersection of I-65 and State Road 39, will have free admission and be open to the public and media. A 10% discount will be applied to all chocolates purchased and taken home the day of the celebration. Events include chocolate sampling, raffle drawings, kids’ activities, entertainment by local magician, Marc Lehmann, and live music by Pavel and Direct Contact. All are welcome to bring lawn chairs. Scott Diggity Dogs food truck will be on site, and opportunities to support the Boys and Girls Club of Boone County will be available at the event. A brief presentation by the owners, Bob and Kathy Donaldson, is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
Bob’s parents, the late George and Peg Donaldson, purchased the business from Charles and Eva Callane in October of 1966. The business was located in a two-room schoolhouse about a mile north of Lebanon. The Donaldsons relocated the shop to its current location in 1973.
