Community Development Partnership Announces Leadership Transition
The Board of Directors of the Neshoba County Community Development Partnership is pleased to announce a planned leadership transition designed to ensure continuity, stability, and continued progress for Neshoba County.
After years of dedicated service to Neshoba County, President David Vowell has announced his retirement. To provide a seamless transition, the Board has appointed David Alexander to serve as Interim President. Vowell and Alexander will work together through September 30, ensuring continuity of leadership, ongoing projects, and the strong relationships that have been built with businesses, industries, community leaders, and partners throughout the county.
Effective October 1, David Alexander will officially assume the role of President of the Neshoba County Community Development Partnership.
Board Chairman Dana McLain said the transition reflects the Board's commitment to maintaining the momentum the organization has built over the years.
"Leadership transitions are opportunities to honor the past while embracing the future. Mr. Vowell’s vision, dedication, and passion have left a lasting mark on Neshoba County. Because of his leadership, our organization is well-positioned for continued success. The Board is confident that David Alexander is the right person to build upon that strong foundation. We are grateful that Mr. Vowell and Mr. Alexander will work together over the coming months to ensure a seamless transition for our members, investors, industries, and community partners."
Reflecting on his career, David Vowell expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community.
"Serving Neshoba County has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional life. I have been blessed to work alongside outstanding business leaders, elected officials, educators, industries, and community partners who all share a commitment to making this a better place to live, work, and invest. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I leave knowing the Partnership is in excellent hands. David is a respected leader who understands our community, and I have every confidence that he will continue moving our organization forward."
David Alexander said he is honored by the opportunity to lead the Partnership and continue its mission.
"I am humbled by the confidence the Board has placed in me and grateful for the opportunity to serve our community in this role. David Vowell has built strong relationships and established a legacy of collaboration that has greatly benefited Neshoba County. I look forward to working alongside him during this transition and building on the momentum that already exists. Together with our Board, members, investors, and community partners, we will continue creating opportunities that strengthen our economy, support local businesses, attract new investment, and enhance the quality of life throughout Neshoba County."
The Board expressed its sincere appreciation to David Vowell for his years of exceptional leadership and service to the Partnership and to the citizens of Neshoba County. The Board also looks forward to David Alexander leading the organization into its next chapter of growth, collaboration, and opportunity.
